Pomegranate fruit/Dalim fal-a full grown tree

Pomegranate fruit is known as Dalim fal in Bangladesh. Its scientific name is Punica granatum and it belongs to family : Lythraceae.
The pomegranate(Dalim fal) is native from Iran to the Himalayas in northern India and was cultivated and naturalized over the whole Mediterranean region since ancient times. It is widely cultivated throughout India,Bangladesh, South China and the southeast Asia. Even we see it in the Middle East, Southern Europe and tropical Africa. The pomegranate was cultivated in Egypt before the time of Moses. The tree was introduced into Latin America and USA by Spanish settlers in 1769.
The pomegranate(Dalim fal) is a very ancient fruit, mentioned in the ancient holy books like the Tora, the Bibel, the holy Quran.
The pomegranate(Dalim fal) fruit tree leaves are opposite or sub-opposite, glossy, narrow oblong, entire, 3–7 cm long and 2 cm broad. The flowers are bright red, 3 cm in diameter, with four to five petals (often more on cultivated plants). Some fruitless varieties are grown for the flowers alone. The fruit is 5–12 cm in diameter  in size with a rounded hexagonal shape, and has thick reddish skin and around 600 seeds. Each seed has a surrounding water-laden pulp—the edible aril ranging in color from white to deep red or purple. The seeds are embedded in a white, spongy, astringent pulp.
You’ll know when the tree has not yet reached fruit-bearing maturity because, until then, it will flower and then drop the flowers instead. Pomegranates ripen in the fall (between early August and late September). When the fruit has reached full color, pick one off and open it up. If there are fully-colored seeds and juice inside…then it’s reached ripeness. The pomegranate may begin to bear in 1 year after planting out, but 2-1/2 to 3 years is more common. Under suitable conditions the fruit should mature some 5 to 7 months after bloom. From one tree 50 to 100 pomegranate fruits(Dalim fal) can be collected.
The pomegranate is a neat, rounded shrub or small tree that can grow from 6m to 9m, but more typically from 3,5m to 4,8m in height. Dwarf varieties are also known. It is usually deciduous, but in certain areas the leaves will persist on the tree. The trunk is covered by a red-brown bark which later becomes gray. The branches are stiff, angular and often spiny. There is a strong tendency to sucker from the base. Pomegranates are also long-lived. There are specimens in Europe that are known to be over 200 years of age. The vigor of a pomegranate declines after about 15 years, however.
In the Indian subcontinent's ancient Ayurveda system of medicine, the pomegranate has extensively been used as a source of traditional remedies for thousands of years. The rind of the fruit and the bark of the pomegranate tree is used as a traditional remedy against diarrhea, dysentery and intestinal parasites.
BBC News published a report on pomagranate fruit(Dalim fal) on the 28th November,2004. In the report they mentioned that this fruit is full of vitamins A, C, E and iron. Scientists in Israel have shown that drinking a daily glass of the fruit's juice can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.''Pomegranate juice contains the highest antioxidant capacity compared to other juices, red wine and green tea,'' said Professor Michael Aviram, who led the team.
